My approach to photography is often simple.  When not working on a defined project I photograph that which I respond to emotionally.  They are environments that resonate with places I have known.  The elements of figures, space, light, and shadow all carry dense but vague meaning.

So photography, for me, can be the most melancholy of mediums.  A way of capturing life and being held captive by moments that are perhaps best set free.
